Welcome to GINI. By using gini.iq or any of our platforms and apps — GINI Market, Friday Market, the Loyalty Platform, Fawz, GINI Opportunities, GINI Wholesale, GINI Plus, GINI Bridge, and GINI Merchants — you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Some products may carry supplementary terms (such as a merchant agreement or the rules of a specific draw) shown at sign-up; those prevail over these terms for that product where they conflict.
Eligibility and accounts
- You must be 18 or older, or use the service with a guardian's consent and under their supervision.
- You agree to provide accurate, up-to-date information at registration, and to hold one account unless we permit otherwise.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
Merchant accounts
Merchants register through the business portal or from within GINI apps, and we may verify identity, business, and licences before activation. By registering as a merchant you commit to the following:
- Accurate product data, prices, photos, and stock, with quantities kept up to date to avoid order cancellations.
- Fulfilling orders within the published timeframes, and handling returns and exchanges under your published policy and no less than the legal minimum.
- Fees and commissions: applied under the merchant agreement or chosen package, and may be revised with prior notice. Balances are settled through our approved payment partners.
- Compliance with Iraqi law, including licensing, taxes, and consumer rights, and not selling prohibited or counterfeit goods.
- Data entered into GINI Plus and GINI Merchants remains the merchant's; the merchant is responsible for staff permissions and the accuracy of what they enter.
Orders, payment, and delivery
- On GINI Market and GINI Wholesale, the sales contract is between the customer and the merchant; GINI provides the technical platform, payment methods, and delivery coordination.
- Prices are in Iraqi dinar and include any delivery or service fees disclosed before order confirmation.
- Payments are processed through licensed partners (such as Qi Card) or cash on delivery where available; instalment plans may be offered under the partner's terms.
- Delivery times are estimates and depend on delivery partners and the governorate. You may cancel before dispatch, and return under the merchant's policy and the law.
Friday Market (person-to-person selling)
Friday Market lets individuals list and sell their belongings to one another. Here GINI acts purely as a technical intermediary:
- GINI does not own, inspect, or guarantee the quality or accuracy of listed items.
- The seller is responsible for the accuracy of the description, ownership of the item, and the legality of its sale. Listing illegal, stolen, counterfeit, or hazardous goods is prohibited.
- Meeting, handover, and payment between the parties are at their own responsibility; we recommend meeting in public places and inspecting the item before paying.
- You can report any violating listing; we reserve the right to remove listings and suspend violating accounts without notice.
Loyalty Platform and GINI Opportunities
- Loyalty points are a promotional reward, not money; they cannot be cashed out, sold, or transferred between accounts unless we announce otherwise.
- Rules for earning, redeeming, and expiring points are those published in the platform, and we may revise them with prior notice.
- GINI Opportunities coupons are subject to the issuing merchant's conditions and validity period, redeemable at the specified store or channel, and not exchangeable for cash.
- We may void points or coupons obtained through fraud, duplicate accounts, or exploitation of errors.
Fawz (draws)
- Fawz draws are promotional; tickets are earned through legitimate activity across the GINI ecosystem (such as purchases, tasks, and referrals) as published in the platform.
- Draws run weekly on a transparent mechanism; results are announced on the public board and winners are notified in-app.
- Winners must verify their identity and claim the prize within the announced period, or forfeit it. Prizes are not exchangeable for cash unless stated otherwise.
- Tickets obtained through fraud or fake accounts are excluded, and specific groups (such as staff administering the draw) may be ineligible under each draw's rules.
Business services: GINI Bridge and GINI Plus
- Subscribing to GINI Bridge (unified payment gateway) and GINI Plus (business management) is governed by a service agreement and pricing package shown at activation.
- Merchants must use the payment gateway for lawful activity only, meet payment partners' requirements, and not route transactions for unapproved third parties.
- We aim for the highest availability and announce scheduled maintenance in advance, but the service is provided “as is” without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation.
Acceptable use
When using any of our services you must not:
- Commit fraud, impersonate others, or create fake or duplicate accounts.
- Manipulate reviews, points, tickets, draw results, or coupons.
- Publish abusive, misleading, or rights-infringing content, or prohibited or counterfeit goods.
- Attempt to breach our systems, scrape data, disrupt the service, or bypass security controls.
Breaching these rules may lead to content removal, account suspension or termination, and forfeiture of rewards obtained in violation, without prejudice to our legal remedies.
Content and intellectual property
- The GINI name, logo, mascot, designs, and systems belong to GINI; the brand guide on this site defines the permitted uses.
- You keep ownership of the content you publish, and grant GINI a non-exclusive licence to display and distribute it within the platforms to operate and promote the service.
- Ratings and reviews must be honest and based on a genuine experience.
Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account for breach of these terms, suspected fraud, or at the request of an authority. Outstanding financial obligations survive termination.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, GINI is not liable for indirect or consequential damages or loss of profit arising from use of, or inability to use, the service, nor for the acts of merchants, sellers, delivery partners, or other third parties. Nothing in this clause limits rights you cannot waive by law.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Iraq. We first seek to resolve any dispute amicably through our support channels; failing that, the courts of Baghdad have jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms from time to time. The updated version is published here with its date, and continued use after publication constitutes acceptance; we will notify you in advance of material changes.
